Pascal I have read all 12 essays and yes what you said about your close friends even your girlfriend not being able to sit with your long form work resonated with me.
I am actually going to turn off all notifications now except for only my Whatsapp.
So I can be Intentional about it.
If I want to enter and app I enter not because of the notifications but on my own will.
I’m really enjoying these long posts-I’m still stuck on the “You think you want to be an entrepreneur” post because it requires chewing like a good steak. Honestly, I’m not sure if I want to be an entrepreneur. I was married to a bad one. I’ve seen good ones, but it would require such a drastic change from my typical way of living that I’m hesitant.
The post wasn’t really meant to convince everyone to become an entrepreneur. More like, “make sure you’re not chasing the identity of entrepreneur when what you actually want is freedom, control, peace, meaning, or creative expression.”
Entrepreneurship can give you those things, but it can also become the exact opposite if you build it from ego, fear, or pressure.
So maybe the question isn’t “do I want to be an entrepreneur?”
Maybe it’s:
“What kind of life am I trying to protect, and what kind of work would support that without destroying me?”
I appreciate that you point out a problem and then offer a practical solution without some kind of hardcore detox that most people won’t do. I’m going to repost. :)

Me too, I just reinstalled instagram yesterday for no reason whatsoever, but it along with Facebook are about to get deleted again.

Hesitation is healthy.

Oh my goodness: another journal prompt! Thank you so much. I’m thinking on this hard today.
